A: We will be adding to this as time goes on but will begin with excerpts from Best Advice for Preaching edited by John McClure, which explores such topics as finding inspiration, planning your preaching, finding illustrations, ways to organize your sermon and more. We'll include excerpts from John Killenger's Fundamentals of Preaching and Thomas Long's Preaching and the Literary Forms of the Bible. Advice for preaching funeral sermons will be included with excerpts from A Trumpet in Darkness: Preaching to Mourners by Robert Hughes. Help for preaching the imagery of the lectionary such as servant, shepherd, day of the Lord and many more images is included in excerpts from Gail Ramshaw's Treasures Old and New: Images in the Lectionary. In addition you'll find help on preaching Paul from Leander Keck's Paul and His Letters and help on preaching Luke from Frederick W. Danker's Proclamation commentary on Luke, 2nd edition.
